Who we are
Hockley Web Design is a UK-based sole trader, operated by Jensen Hockley, providing web design, lead generation and related digital services to businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what rights you have over it.
Information we collect
We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us — principally by submitting the enquiry form on our contact page. The fields you submit may include your name, company name, email address, telephone number, your package interest, and the content of your message.
We do not use tracking cookies, and at present we do not run any analytics, advertising or marketing-pixel software on this site. If that changes, this policy will be updated first and this section will name the tool in use.
How your information is used
Enquiry details are used solely to respond to you, discuss the project you have enquired about, and — where you go on to engage us — to deliver the services agreed. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell, rent or otherwise trade personal information to third parties.
Our lawful basis
We process enquiry information under the lawful basis of legitimate interests — responding to enquiries is the reasonable and expected purpose for which the information was given to us — and, where a project proceeds, under the basis of contract, to perform the work agreed.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details from people who do not go on to become a client are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to handle that enquiry, and are deleted thereafter. Information relating to an active or completed project is kept for as long as needed to deliver the service and meet our bookkeeping and tax obligations, typically no longer than six years.
Who we share it with
We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Information may be held with ordinary service providers that make the business function — for example an email provider or a website host — solely so that they can provide that service to us, and never for any purpose of their own.
Cookies
This website does not currently set any non-essential or tracking cookies. If analytics or similar tools are introduced in future, this section will be updated to name them and, where required, a consent option will be added.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it's wrong, to have it deleted, to object to or restrict how it's used, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example if the services we offer change, or if we start using a new tool that processes personal information. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
Terms of service
These terms apply to enquiries made and projects agreed through this website.
Enquiries and quotes. Submitting the contact form does not create any obligation on either side. A written scope and price is agreed separately, in writing, before any project work or payment takes place.
Pricing. Package prices shown on this website are correct at the time of publishing and exclude VAT and any third-party costs such as advertising spend, domain registration or stock licensing, which are agreed and billed separately.
Client content. Where a client provides text, images, logos or other material for use in their project, the client confirms they have the right to use it and to have it published.
Liability. We aim to deliver every project to a high standard, but we do not guarantee specific business outcomes such as lead volumes, rankings or revenue, since these depend on many factors outside our control.
These terms sit alongside — not instead of — any separate written agreement signed for a specific project, which takes precedence in the event of a conflict.
